Hey everyone, i'm back after a 6 month hiatus. i'm not going to tell anyone about the 'reopening/unlocking' of my blog, because i don't really see the need to. im not those type of ostentatious show-off tryna behave like a celebrity. no one really cares anyway ;)
So, my GCEs are finally over! i haven't been as happy/crazy as i envisioned myself to be. probably cause my december and january's filled with lotsa stuff. additional exams, stupid prom (the dressing up hunting part), applications, and basically, the urgent need to rearrange my life. my life has mostly been a mess this year. LOTSA stuff happened. but since this is a blog, i won't divulge too much.
these few months have been crazily hectic and stressful, but im glad i went through and survived it. through this, ive been able to learn many stuff. i've learnt to plan for my future and not live like a child. i've been blessed with a nice group of friends, who give me support and spur me to continue studying, even if i detest it so much!
To:
Father Pereira- Thank you so much for being there for me, even if i have neglected my faith for several reasons. i'm still learning to step out of my comfort zone and will try to be more actively involved. i will never forget how you saved my life on the hospital bed when i was 4, how you immediately made yourself available this July afternoon when i broke down and walked out of the exam hall, hallucinating and sick. the conversation we had really did relieve me of all my burden and pent-up feelings.
Papa and Mummy- for always being there for me. papa, thanks for driving me to school and sending me a text message every morning when i had a paper. it may be a simple repeated message but it meant a lot. and also, thank you for the unwavering support and many many starbucks sessions/shopping sessions where i made you walk until your legs crumbled. Mummy, i really appreciate all that you have done for me. even if we don't see eye to eye, i'm glad i have both of you all.
Angela- Thank you for giving me support and giving me so much advice! you're like a sister i never had. i appreciate how we can chat non stop (even if we had to study hah)
Zhimin- remember those gruelling study sessions at the library? those were tiring times, but i'm glad we pulled through. also, thank you for helping me and giving me advice on all that university shatt. it mattered a lot.
And thank you to many others, like Bernie (girllll), Priya, Yijun etc etc
So what's in store for me this 'holidays'?
Well basically im hoping to get an internship or a proper job that i can really enjoy, not like those data-entry, telemarketing type of job. im hoping i emerge victorious from all the college stuff.
A teacher told us that we should use the holidays wisely to build up our portfolio and also, find our direction in life. when uni starts, there's no looking back! so, until january, my schedules are mostly booked. i hope it will be the same until march.
My life has changed drastically during these 6 months! i've cultivated new habits, such as going to coffee joints to read a book (although i still protest against the steep prices). im crazy over style network now. i wish i could work in a setting like 'running in heels'.
anyway, im hoping i can go overseas. my dream is to go to new york. something about that city just makes me high. everyone talks about 'times square', of the multitude of shopping choices available. im awaiting the day i get to step into macy's, nordstrom, wal-mart and the like. even if it is one of the costliest cities in the world, and rentals are freaking exorbitant, i just want to experience that new-yorky feel. afterall, im halfway there. i already live in the upper east side (hah get that?)
a side note: i haven't been doing anything wild since i turned 18. in fact, im like a 100% ascetic. i havent drunk, haven't clubbed, haven't smoked (but ew i wont ever wanna). its funny how i wanted and did all that when i was younger. but now, i aint got no interest at all. but sometimes, i feel this great urge to go downstairs and drive my father's car, cruise down the highway and blast the audio system.
cross my fingers: that i'll have a productive enjoyable vacation, and not be tied down by irrelevant stuff like relationships or whatever!
i'll change this ugly, girly blogskin when i finally have the time. i just needed a space to rant!
peace, ya'll...
